I’m going to answer this just to get 2 points and then see what other people say cuz I have gophers too.
gopher bait, or garlic.
They have traps that catch them. they have spikes and when they crawl under it it spears them. pretty cool!!! Or just use a .22 noone will care.
This may sound crazy but I heard someone remark not too long ago that they eliminated their gopher problem by dropping chewing gum down into the gopher holes. They said this worked because the gophers would eat the gum which would block their digestive tracks causing them to eventually die off.
Maybe I’m alone in this response, but am I the only one who has a problem with the need to kill off these rodents? Sure, they may be pesky as they tunnel through our lawns, but they did not get to choose where we planted down our cement cities. They have as much right to be in your yard as you do.
Some gopher friendly solutions would be to reconsider your landscaping options. If you have frequent visits of gophers in your neighbourhood allthroughout the year, perhaps sod is not the best choice. (Just like those of us who despise mosquitos must learn to live without standing bodies of water in our yards, like ponds, birdbaths,etc.) Consider removing the sod and replacing it with woodchips or gravel. It may just add valuable curb appeal!

took about 2 weeks…but play LOUD heavy metal music will drive them nuts…(Rob Zombie, Rhamstein, type music)
Dont laugh I am serious i had tried every trick that others told me here! NONE worked…except this! Yes someone here also mentioned this to me once and it was the only thing that worked!
Rap music will drive anyone away.Only kidding.I use water to get them to leave.See a fresh hole put water hose in it and let it run.They get tired of the water and move where it’s dry.Every time you see a dirt pile get rid of it,put dirt back in hole and you can put gum in hole.That is gum that has been chewed already.The poison ive never seen work and the traps ive used they seem to know its there and avoid.
Put up a fence and get a big dog.
