Wanda M asked:
I don’t want to kill them or trap them. Also, I have a Jack Russel Terrier so my solution will have to be safe for him in the yard.

We are finding a lot of them (potato bugs) in the ground. We are in San Diego & our particular area has very sandy soil. We have seen them before, but many more this year & the tree looks bad. We’ve always had gophers, so I thought I would add that in there too.
Does anyone know what the potato bugs do like &/or why we might have more? Our climate has been so weird (cold!) this year, I assume it’s related but I don’t really know.

I have heard that putting Juicy Fruit gum in gopher holes will kill them because they eat it and can’t digest it. I was wondering if the messy mice who turned our gum drawer into a pile of aluminum foil and paper shreds were doomed.

I have reoccuring problems with moles in my lawn. I have tried almost every over the counter product, including a trap that didn’t work at all. The most effective solution to date has been a powdered product that you spinkle over the lawn, but it only last about three weeks.
Does anyone have a longer term solution?

Adel asked:
How do you go about exterminating rodents from your attic? Do you suggest large or small-sized mousetraps, and where should I place them. Also, we’ve tried using rat poison to no avail. But let’s say we manage to kill some of them off with the mousetraps, will that deter other rats from coming? I would like a way to get rid of the rats for good.
